    How to Take Measurements

    • Neck: Measure around your neck at the midway point
    • Waist: Measure around your waist at the narrowest point
    • Hips: Measure around the widest part of your hips

    Body Fat Percentage Categories

    Men

    • Essential Fat: 2-5%
    • Athletes: 6-13%
    • Fitness: 14-17%
    • Acceptable: 18-24%
    • Obesity: 25%+

    Women

    • Essential Fat: 10-13%
    • Athletes: 14-20%
    • Fitness: 21-24%
    • Acceptable: 25-31%
    • Obesity: 32%+

    Note: This calculator uses the U.S. Navy method for estimating body fat percentage. While this method is widely used, it provides an estimate and should not be considered as accurate as clinical methods like hydrostatic weighing or DEXA scans.
